Sweet, kind and caring, Elena was Born to Isabol Flemming who left Elena to be looked after by the Gilberts. She was sent back into the past after saying a few magic words which were written in Jonathan's journal. She had no idea at that point that it would take her back in time and when she went back in time she landed on a road of carriages. Damon found her and took her in unaware of who she was.

The first son of Giuseppe Salvatore. He is arrogant and polite. He never listens to what he is told or what his father wants him to do. He finds Elena on the road and takes her in unaware of who she is. He is yet to meet Katherine but he believes Elena is the most beautifulest girl he has ever seen.

Bitter, arrogant and wants everything to be hers. She lost her parents after she changed into a vampire to save herself from Klaus. She moved to Mystic Falls to pretend to be human but fell in love with Stefan. Katherine had told Stefan about what she is and he freaked and so to keep him to herself she influenced him.
